Thing 4 - RSS and Newsreaders

I think this "Thing" was a very useful and time saving thing. I added some sites, as well as some co-workers blogs to my blog. However, some sites that I tried to add thier RSS to - went to my MSN home page instead. I also tried to add sites to My Yahoo and it wouldn't accept it there either. I will have to play around with this new found friend some more.

Thing 3 - Blog Search Tools

As warned in one of the articles I read, I also found most of the blog search tools were useless. The one search tool I did find helpful was "Google Blog Search". I used the same search criteria in all of the different sites and compared the results. The differences were astounding!

Thing 2 - Web 2.0 and Library 2.0

I found this "Thing" to be quite fun. I even set up a "LibraryThing" account. This is a really great website for bookworms! However I still believe I am not interested in a "MySpace" or "FaceBook" account.

Thing 1 - Setting up a Blog

This was very easy (I hope I did it right). I will be perfecting it over time, but I feel comfortable with the basic set-up.
PS I have never blogged before.
